About Year 3
We provide a positive learning environment where all children are encouraged, engaged, and challenged in their learning in order to reach their full potential. We try our best to make our lessons fun and as interactive as possible
We offer children the opportunity to enjoy and experience a stimulating learning environment which motivates them to work hard and achieve well. We strive to provide a broad, balanced and a creative curriculum which caters for the needs of all children.
Teachers use the overview map (long term plan) and the medium-term plans to plan lessons for each subject. We encourage children to think about a new topic by providing family homework projects. We ask children to evaluate and reflect on their learning at the end of a lesson and at the end of a topic.
Helping your child
Attendance, punctuality and parental support are all essential parts of the pupils’ development. Please ensure your children complete their homework regularly and use any spare time to extend their learning. It is also important to read with your child every day as well as supporting them in practising their spellings and times tables.
