Race and Social Justice
At Eastbury, our vision is to make diversity and anti-racism central to our curriculum and practice so that everyone feels valued and know they truly belong.
Barking and Dagenham is one of London’s most diverse boroughs and we are proud to say that the staff of our school fully reflect the diversity in our local community.
This page will provide updates on all the exciting things happening as a part of the RSJ project.

To show our commitment to embedding a culture of anti-racism in our school, we have made a pledge to commit to achieve the Anti-Racist School Award!

Race & Social Justice
At Eastbury, we have been proactive in making sure the books in our school library and classrooms reflect the community our children live in. We want all our pupils to feel valued and feel a real sense of belonging by seeing themselves in the books they read.
Here are some recommended books by ARISE (Anti-Racism in School and Education). Many of these can also be found within our school library and classroom book corners.
