Mrs Zhorna, Miss Campbell, Mrs Pieroni & Ms Edmonds would like to welcome you to our year 3 page.

We are looking forwards to sharing some of our exciting work and learning resources on a regular basis. We provide a positive learning environment where all children are encouraged and challenged in their learning in order to reach their full potential. In year 3 we make our lessons as fun and as interactive as possible. We offer children the opportunity to enjoy and experience a stimulating environment which motivates children to work hard and achieve highly. We strive to provide a broad, balanced and creative curriculum which caters for the needs of all children.

Helping your child

Attendance, punctuality and parental support are all essential parts of the pupils’ development. Please ensure your children complete their homework regularly and use any spare time to extend their learning. It is also important to read with your child every day as well as supporting them in practising their spellings and times tables.

Year 3 Curriculum Map

The International Primary Curriculum (IPC) is one of the fastest-growing curriculums in the world today. It is a comprehensive curriculum with a clear process of learning and with specific learning goals for every subject, for personal learning and for international mindedness.

The IPC has been designed to ensure rigorous learning but also to help teachers make all learning exciting, active and meaningful for children. Learning with the IPC takes a global approach; helping children to connect their learning to where they are living now as well as looking at the learning from the perspective of other people in other countries.
